The entrepreneur may seek assistance on certain areas; however, they need to be intricately involved. Nowadays most funders require the entrepreneur to pitch their business and will be asked tough questions regarding their business plan. The inability to answer questions serves as a red flag that the entrepreneur may not be able to execute the plan or ensure business success so that the loan is repaid.
You need to know the business plan inside out and the interplay of all the different functions (marketing, operations, finances etc).
